The Rebate & Incentive Payment Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely payout and reconciliation of incentive payments to participants in utility-sponsored energy management programs. This role ensures that all payments are processed in accordance with program rules, DNV's contractual obligations, and internal financial controls, supporting the integrity and auditability of the incentive payment process. The role operates under the direction of the Business Controller.
This role is based at our DNV office in Houston, Texas, presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend three (3) days per week working from either a DNV office or client location/site. Further details regarding role-specific requirements will be shared during the interview process.
What You'll Do
- Manage the full lifecycle of incentive issuance, from validation to disbursement & reconciliation.
- Validate & reconcile incentive payment data
- Validate incentive payments
- Monitor payment status and resolve discrepancies
- Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, Program Delivery & Global Shared Services) and external stakeholders (e.g., utility clients) to ensure smooth payment operations.
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure audit readiness and provide support during internal & external audits
- Maintain clear documentation of rebate workflows and policies
- Coordinate internal approvals for high-value transactions that require authorization from the Regional Director, CEO, or other designated executives
- Analyze rebate data to uncover insights and drive process improvements and ensure compliance, such as segregation of duties
- Serve as the go-to expert for incentive-related inquiries, provide accurate and timely resolutions and escalate discrepancies to Business Controller
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, client requirements, and regulatory standards
- Mentor and support team members involved in rebate operations

About you
What Is Required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in financial operations, payment processing, & reconciliation.
- 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payables & Supervisory experience
- Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of internal controls and audit requirements for incentive processing.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI & other data analysis tools
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- We conduct pre-employment drug and background screening
What Is Preferred
- Experience working with third-party contractors or incentive program administrators
- Experience with utility rebate check processing
- Knowledge of energy efficiency or demand-side management programs
- Experience in the energy or utilities sector
